My Feb baby hasn’t arrived yet but I have a three year old and I remember worrying about every little noise or every time he did something he hadn’t done before. Obviously trust your gut if you think something is actually wrong, but I promise the anxiety does start to fade with time 😊 You’re doing great!
FTM here as well and we are 14 days in now and the first week I don’t think slept a wink at night because of the weird noises. He can sleep so peacefully during the day but come night time he seems to be so active when sleeping with the sounds.
@Sarahmy first night alone with her at the hospital was horrid! I called the midwife ever hour because I thought something was wrong 🤣
@Amy I hope so! She rarely cries and is a happy baby but my goodness, I’m sure when I get used to her noises I’ll be a lot more relaxed
@Becca tell me about it! Why does she sleep so quietly during the day and then loses all composure at night 😭
Oh god tell me about it, I actually didn’t want to leave the hospital because it was like a safety blanket 😂😂 now I’m just left on my own to look after a tiny human… but I’m sure you’re doing amazing! Just a learning curve at every turn lol
I just had my last midwife appointment and asked about the noises and she was lovely and reassuring that it’s perfectly normal and tends to settle down around 2-3 months. It’s reassuring it’s normal but at 2am I’ll still be checking he is breathing normally for the 100th time 😅
Tell me about it 😭 I’m deep in the new born trenches tonight, not slept a wink and he won’t stop making weird noises and doing weird things and the lack of sleep is making me think somethings wrong!!
