Head banging!

Hey so my 10month old has started to bang his head against the wall randomly like he will be playing then he crawls over to the wall bangs his forehead and then drags it down the wall🙈we tell him no when he does do it but it’s becoming part of his little routine which im obviously worried about leaving marks and hurting himself.. does anyone else’s little one do the same or have an idea as to why he would do this? Thanks

Mine does this at times but I am trying to distract, hoping that it not bring attention will help. He's done it in his cot too which I mentioned to our sleep trainer and she said to ignore it as if it hurts he'll stop but responding to it will make him do it more and potentially lead to him hurting himself. I don't have a solution though!

Mine also does this sometimes and I ignore her. My brother used to do it constantly and he didn't stop because my parents drew attention to it so this is why they told me to ignore it. He used to headbutt the radiator and bang his head on the door until their were holes in the door x

So mine loves to bang her head on - the door - the radiator - the chair leg I’ve used the word “dangerrrrr” a few times (pointless I know but still). She seems to love whacking it and getting a reaction!

Mine does this! He bangs his head on the mesh of his play pen and recently broke thru the zipper part of it and got out! any suggestions on what to do?

@Cassidy from these comments we have ignored him and it actually works! He has started to look at us whenever he does it to see if we tell him no or not and when we don’t he crawls away from the wall x
