What kind of sauce would you recommend?
A ratatouille and rice always worked well for my little one x
We did white rice with cheddar cheese mixed in! My 10 month old really enjoyed it.
Maybe serve it with curry or chilli con carne? (Baby friendly obviously). This is how I've given my baby rice, I don't flavour the actual rice
I made rice pudding sugar free though ful fat milk.
My son likes yum yum sauce or gravy or butter on his rice
Try a risotto instead? Or egg fried rice?
Mine hates it plain but loves it in any sauce - tomato/bolognaise!chilli/pesto/any casserole as long as there’s lots of sauce
My babyboy will eat rice plain or with something on it. He loves Spanish rice
I cook it in chicken broth instead of water and I notice my baby prefers it that way. Or sometimes I’ll make a broccoli, chicken and cheese rice bowl.
My step brothers fiancé did this thing where she sauted it in a pan with garlic and then cooked it and it came out sticky and my daughter who usually hates rice loved it so much she wanted more after it was all gone.
My LO likes rice with ground turkey and refried beans or really any beans
My LO didn't eat rice for ages tried so many ways as above and the one that got her loving rice was chicken broth. I also made it quite soft and sticky with lots of butter so it was a softer consistency. Now she loves it and will try different flavours too. You just need to find a flavour she likes with it. Does she have a favourite Food? Favourite flavours could you pair it with that?
so my baby is the same, I keep trying. but I found it your put some kind of paste or sauce it helps even if they try a few
