@Georgia Yes! It was the first thing i did when I found out I was pregnant and that was at like 3-4 weeks! It's an absolute joke! x
I’ve had bad experience at Peterborough hospital, I don’t think I would recommend the hospital to anyone. The main thing was at 20 week scan, when I was told that my baby will have a cleft lip, I was in such a shock, cried for ages. Got referred to cleft team, who then diverted me to Cambridge hospital for further scans, and they were absolutely brilliant ! They have spent ages trying to see the baby, and when they couldn’t properly they gave me another appointment, and also did a 3D scan. Whereas pboro - they literally had a look for couple of minutes, said they saw something, called in for a second opinion, he didn’t even bother to look from another angle, just confirmed that it is a cleft lip. Then at around 30odd weeks my midwife said my belly was measuring too small, so got sent to pboro hospital for another scan, and the same doctor did it who confirmed, and was surprised that someone said that the baby has a cleft lip because he couldn’t see anything..🤦🏻♀️
@Judita They were pretty good when I had my daughter, had a few issues after my c section while I was recovering but all in all okay but this time around I'm just fuming! This isn't on! I went for a scan at the early pregnancy unit and I swear they rushed me in, looked at me for 5 mins and that was it! I got to see the babies for a split second and when I asked for a photo they said "No we don't do that here" and then sent me on my way! I swear she pressed down so hard I felt bruised afterwards!
@Katie I had a c section, and I’ve had some issues after too, some of the midwife’s were lovely don’t get me wrong, but some of them were just terrible, and not helpful at all. And yes they are very rough when they do the scan😕 I was in pain afterwards too
Do you know which midwife team you’re under? I’ve been told it can vary. I am older and high risk, so I seemed to get seen earlier for appt, but whenever I have a question and I email my midwife I get thoroughly ignored. I’ve been told the team I’m under don’t get the best reviews. I’ve got my 16 week appt with her next week so hopefully get some answers on all the high risk but I have felt very on my own considering my age and being high risk. Your docs receptionist should be able to tell you which midwife branch you are and give you a contact number.
I can’t believe no one’s contacted you, Have you registered your pregnancy on my pregnancy notes I did that and got a call to book in my booking appointment about a week later X
