For example hot it "ho"

Yeah mine definitely does this a lot too, bin is bi, bird is birr etc!

Hi, I’m a children’s speech therapist. This is really common. My 27month old does the same.

Some letters are harder to pronounce so they just miss them, usually it’s L and T. My toddler says chocola for chocolate.
