He is going in September as I couldn't get a placement until then
I know it can be hard to find options but I would be trying my hardest to find alternative care. Not changing them at all isn't an option and then to when they finally do result in buises and scratches?! Also just learning? We all have to have first nappy changes they don't usually have result in injury to the poor bubba. My baby rolls and kicks and all sorts when I'm trying to change her but she's never finished a nappy change with a mark
I'd be absolutely furious. Holding a baby hard enough to scratch or bruise is not okay. Nor is not changing their nappy at all, to be quite honest. This is abuse. Do not let it escalate for the sake of sparing their feelings. Just learning? Your MIL at least must have changed nappies before?? It's not an excuse. There's no excuse. Yeah sure you could give them tips like distract with xyz and use pull ups, but if it was me I'm not sure I'd want to be leaving my child with them.
I would lose my 💩. It’s not okay. My baby is extremely hard to change but I’ve not come close to bruising or scratching him and I’m always having to wrestle him. Something cruel has happened for your baby to end up with those injuries

Put them in nursery, they sound negligent
