Ive always used some sort of cutlery like spoon he use to handle it and he had a fork from around 12months he can use both now without help

Ive really slacked on this as I havent the patience for the mess or constant baths… really need to suck it up and start giving her some to try 🙈

We give her metal kids ones now. She barely uses it but at least it’s there as a prop ha

We've always had them available for him but he's only recently at 14 months started using them. We used bibado spoons

We’ve started to use his own metal children’s set now. He loves it and is pretty successful using a spoon independently and tries hard to get stuff onto his fork. I have looked at doddl cutlery to help with fork and knife

He’s using whatever spoon he’s given- my eldests old metal sets from various brands, or plastic ones from Ikea, and uses it with great control. Handy as he won’t let me feed him, so at least he can spoon feed himself very effectively. He doesn’t really get how to use a fork yet, he has a go and sometimes gets something stuck on it by accident. Again, usually just plastic Ikea ones.

We’ve started on metal kids cutlery, initially we used silicone small ones by a brand pipeta and they were really good! X

Started out with Bibado weaning spoons and now little man uses teaspoons and metal tiny forks x

Introduced cutlery at 6 months, he’s only started using it properly now at 14 months. If they have no tea use plastic, if they have teeth use metal with plastic handles. The munchkin set is great. We offer a spoon and fork with every meal!

Doddl is amazing!
