@Flo how do I approach this? As he knows as I've said it many times and he'll do it only if he absolutely needs to! I'm getting worried as when I'm back to work it can't continue like this
I would tell him it’s not the 1950s where women exclusively raised children and did everything lol But for real, I would say that you know he’s a good father and you appreciate him watching the baby for you to do some “me” time but that should also include changing babies diaper, especially if it’s a time where he is watching the baby
If you've talked about it before I would be really worried maybe you need to treat him more like a child and make a rule, whoever is looking after her does the nappies, changes, teeth brushing etc. ask him why he doesn't want to do it maybe it's not laziness he might be unsure so offer to show him a few times to build his confidence but if he knows there really is no excuse
I would definitely be annoyed. I agree with Flo, he can't just do the fun bits and leave you to do the jobs he doesn't want to do.
Ask him if he would also like his nappy changed at the same time as he's clearly not a grown man 🙄
This is absolutely nuts in 2025 - perhaps show him these comments - best of luck with it but I couldn’t live with a partner with that attitude- you’re a saint/ a bit nuts for tolerating it! Meant with kindness x
@Jen lol this made me laugh 😃 thank you and everyone for your msgs. I'll have a chat with him unsure why he doesn't. So I think ill show him again and see what happens 🤔
@Tracie this is a good way of starting the convo thanks will use this
100% he is a parent too he should be doing his share of things sharing the fun stuff is one thing but he needs to do the day to day stuff like nappies from day for id be having a word for sure
