Excited everyday for weaning

Anyone else get or got super excited about weaning? Everyday I been writing in a note book different foods and meals that we are going to make our son since he was 4 months old. I don’t even care about the extra work etc because cooking for our son separate meals excites me 😊 anyone else feels or felt this way? He has tried so much since he turned 4.5 months and loves everything so far ❤️

I was the exact same so excited and have loved every minute of it so far! Also weaned at 4.5 months aswell and he’s now 10 months and there’s not one thing he doesn’t like x

@Elena he loves mushrooms, sweet potato, cottage cheese, lasagna, beans, eggs, yogurt lol and so much more 😂 everyone said I am going to regret the work but like… it’s our child, I will never see it as a chore

@Sarah he loves everything, I didn’t think he liked cucumber but today I’ve found he now likes it x

I see where you're coming from (also wait for the comments about early weaning. ) but I never bothered to make anything separate or special for my two, just whatever the adults are having!

@Rachel same here my boys never had anything different the only thing I’ve really made him that I don’t eat is chicken nuggets and sugar free muffins and things x

I was initially dreading weaning I won't lie, even though she's my 3rd! However, my mum gave me a baby recipe book and it's been a GODSEND. I now LOVE blw and she's coming on so well (she's 9 months now). I actually enjoy cooking for her and trying new things. There isn't much she doesn't like thankfully, so far anyway!

As someone with a 20month old that doesn’t eat I’m dreading weaning my 5 month old, I can’t even bear to think about it his brother’s eating stresses me out so much. He’s not showing any signs of interest yet so I’ll keep my peace as long as possible

@Rebecca what recipe book do you have?

We did 101 foods before he turned 1 and I had so much fun with it 🥰

Yes, I love this stage, of them experiencing new foods. I rarely make her anything separate though, meal times she has the same as us, or slightly adapted

@Rachel ours also just has what we have, there's no way I'm cooking 2 meals
