Walking

My daughter is 15 months and not walking or standing on her own, is there any way I can help encourage her?

Is she pulling to stand ok? Cruising furniture?

@Alana she pulls herself up against things, just not standing on her own like I’m middle of the floor or something 🤷🏻‍♀️

We just sat close to where our boy was cruising and encouraged him to walk towards us. To begin with all he would need to do was pivot towards us. Then slowly we increased the gap between us and he would be forced to try to take a step. Also push toys are great. Please don’t worry though. Up to 18 months for walking is within the range of normal. As long as your girl is learning every day and developing new skills / vocabulary, that’s all you need to worry about. Some kids learnt to talk 1st, some learn to touch their nose 1st. Etc the order just varies.

Same here. We stand her up against the sofa and encourage her to take a step out to us, she has come on a lot this week! And started to stand alone for a few seconds. This is a good video https://www.instagram.com/p/DGk3OfIxhmt/?igsh=MXkyZmQyODV0bGw2Yg==

Same for us. Our LO will walk but as long as she is holding onto us. If i let go of her she just sits down. She pulls up to stand and cruises the furniture though. She is also saying loads of stuff like thank you and can count to 3 etc so she has definitely been a talker instead of a mover xx
