meat

I'm having problems with my 16 month old, since he started solids I've been trying to give him different meats different textures but he just won't eat it. Anyone else had this problem or any advice

Have you tried fish? Recently discovered my daughter loves fish like cod and salmon, will polish her entire plate, but she won’t touch chicken/beef/pork

tried salmon he use to love it now I feel like his gone off everything apart from eggs. we try mimic everything we are eating

Aww yeah I’ve been there! A few months ago all my daughter would eat was scrambled eggs and yoghurt 😪 I just kept offering and eventually she’ll eat some of it. I found trying to give her meat in something really saucy worked a little better, like finely ground mince in a bolognese, or small pieces of chicken in a stew

Have you tried serving it on a bone? It's the only way my 2yo will eat meat unless its pureed in spaghetti sauce

I tried everything!! even tried the pouches but it's as if he knows

My son was and for the most part still is like that. I have some partial success with ground meat like a bolognaise sauce or chilli. Sometimes a chicken goujon and once in a blue moon he’ll eat sausages. I don’t mind it to be honest, I give him plenty of beans, hummus, Greek yoghurt, cheese, peanut butter so I think his protein intake is adequate. Remember food pyramid for smallies is different and it’s quite OK if they prefer fruit and veg and bread/pasta type things. That’s what they need most of.
