Weaning

I can't relate I am spoon feeding baby even though I understand this is sort of old fashioned. I'm not looking forward to the mess but they got to learn ! Could it be that baby is frustrated because doesn't eat much ?

Do you think your baby is ready and wanting it?? Are you doing purees or BLW?

It suuuucks, the mess my god. The refusing something you worked hard to make them, throwing food and spoons. Spitting water out all over themselves. Paying attention to allergens and portion sizes and salt and sugar content. Worrying constantly about choking. It’s all worth it though and will go quicker than you think! Ignore the fact that it’s IKEA 😆 this is my toddler at not even 2 y/o. Not even a bib needed ❤️ Hang in there!

I am refusing to make her anything extra at the moment because she doesn’t swallow much so she mainly has what I have with the occasional puree when she can’t have the same as me because of her dairy allergy. She won’t let me feed her so it gets super messy and I dread the cleaning up but I actually find it hilarious most of the time 🙈 Are you spoon feeding or doing baby led? He just might not be ready yet

My baby doesn’t like BLW so we are having to do purées. I always offer her something but don’t think she gets it

Thank you everyone, I was really stressed in that moment when I wrote this 😅😅. I'm feeling better now thank you for the support. My lad is doing BLW, he refuses to be spoon fed, will only eat soft food if he is allowed to spoon-feed himself. It's very tiring. I like the advise of not bothering to cook anything specific, because it's so mortifying when you cook a fresh meal only for my lad to cry or throw it on the floor! Thanks again everyone
