Honestly, I get the annoyance at the cat. I love cats. I’ve had many of my own and fostered them over the years. I even have a dog. My Partner bought a cat. This cat… This cat challenges me daily. I have somehow assumed sole responsibility for him. Anyway, I need to focus on the point I am making. I get where you’re coming from. Our cat likes to make so much noise during the early hours with the sole intention of waking you so he can be fed. He will place himself between our pillows and purr loudly into your ear. The second your eyes open, he meows and runs towards the door so that you follow him to the kitchen. I’ve now had to ban him from the bedroom because he escalated to scratching my Partner under the blanket to get him to wake up. He also climbs onto the headboard and jumps onto my bump when the purring doesn’t get me to open my eyes. I’d rather listen to him scratch at the door than let him back in. The dog sleeps on the bed and doesn’t even stir. Lucky pup.
I would have never gotten with him in the first place. Not a fan of animals, especially cats. That's just me. So don't shoot me cat ladies.
My husband had a dog when we met and I couldn't stand her anxiety and behaviors, always following, staring, reacting, licking, chewing, everything. He re-homed her and we have cats now. I just don't understand how if a CAT bothers you this much how you can even STAND dogs.
I love cats I have two of my own but I get it, also cats are more nocturnal than dogs and sometimes they’ll get the crazies at night 😂 cat dependent obviously but I fostered this one cat who acted demon possessed every very early morning like 3am lol and would run around making so much noise. And then some will not stand for being locked out of a room if that’s an option, they’ll scratch at the door until you open it lol
Well as someone who’s loved and owned both dogs are MUCH louder than cats. So I’m not sure how your annoyance has anything to do with noise level. It definitely has more to do with you not liking cats. Dogs bark and are much more audible when walking on hard wood flooring. My dog was like a tornado while walking on the floor normal speed…lol. You’d also have to get up very early in the morning to take your dog out for a walk, I woke up at 5-6 am to take mine out so waking up early can be anticipated with any pet. Can you get a perch for the cat to climb up the windowsill? We have a perch for our cats and we don’t hear them trying to get up there in the morning. It’s an adhesive one from Amazon it was like $20.
