Crawling and Hard Wood Floors

So my baby is going to be 14months, he’s not walking yet but he crawls, like really really fast. We have LVT flooring in our house so it’s pretty hard and when he crawls across the floor he slams his hands and knees on the floor quite hard and now I can see that it’s bruising his knees. Anyone else have this issue? How do we prevent this but still let him move about?

We have LVT on the ground floor, and I just let my little one crawl around. He was unphased. He did have brusies, and he still does now he is walking from tumbling over. If he hurts himself, he lets me know, but most of the time, I'm more worried than he is.

We have LVT too. We have a totter and tumble mat which he likes to play on a lot, and another generic rug, but he’s more than happy crawling off on the floor- I don’t think it needs preventing, as above, they’ll let you know if they’ve properly hurt themselves. My eldest learnt to walk and crawl on carpet and even then he was covered in bruises 😂

We have LVT too - mine is still just crawling and has brusies on her knees..but like others said I've just let he get on with it and know she will tell me if she hurts herself

Thanks all, I guess I’ll leave him to it

Also babies knee caps form later. It’s not the same feeling that we would get crawling on hard floor.
