@Nia for what ever reason my child thinks she’s starving and eats her food so fast and eats soo much.
@Madelyn she does well when we feed her or she feeds herself with her hands , but once spoons and forks come into play … FOOD GET TO FLYING lol
@Nia it will get better. Just takes time to learn. We have two overweight dogs working diligently as a clean up crew
I use similar spoons and forks for my lo but she doesn’t quite get the scooping motion but I have a secondary spoon I help her. It’s a battle between letting her learn and my past trauma of making messes. Just let them, you’re the one to clean anyway. I also model the behavior I want from her
Real metal adult spoons at 6 months and she would dip them in smoothies. She never really liked the small plastic baby spoons. I don’t understand plastic utensils and definitely not the segmented dishes. I think that would make them picky about food touching.
Our daughter has been using utensils for a bit now but it’s hit and miss for her. If it’s faster to put in her mouth she will do it that way.
@Madelyn mine just plays with her food
