My daughter does it but only once in a while, when she does it I get down to her level and tell her no and that she can't be screaming like that, then I ask her to take a deep breath and I'll breath with her, if that doesn't work then we count to 10 together which usually calms her at least enough to where we can talk. Usually I ask her what's wrong and she tries to tell me then I'll think of a solution like playing with a specific toy (if I don't be specific with a toy it doesn't work) Most of the time that helps the high pitch screams stop and then playing with toys/books helps make her feel better
@Nevaeh love this! i try to do the same with the eye level and deep breaths and he will usually do them with me too which is so cute lol. but man when itās all day and the evening comes around when iām cooking and cleaning itās just so overstimulating bc i canāt find a solution when im so busy š
I'm sorry, depending on what your cooking you can try and get him to help, when my daughter starts getting mad while I cook lunch I'll pick her up and tell her we are gonna check on the food or I'll put her in the high chair and let her play with Play-Doh while I finish cooking
No judgement pleaseā¦but every time she did that, Iād stick my finger in her mouth. It was enough to catch her off guard and sheād whine for a second, but now she doesnt do it. If she does, she will make eye contact with me and lower her voice but still make the same sound, just not so high pitchā¦an odd one. But it worked for me when nothing else did.
