Making formula

So I know this might sound like a silly question but it’s been bugging me for a few days now. When I make my baby’s bottles I fill the water up to 150ml and add 5 scoops of formula which to me is a 5oz bottle but when it’s made up it’s almost 6oz. I get that when you add the powder it will increase the volume of the water but my question is are you giving them 5oz or 6? So like with my baby being on 5oz bottles she doesn’t always finish them, she might leave an oz or 2, but say she leaves 2oz from 6oz, has she had 4oz or 3oz because it’s a 5oz bottle? So confused lol somebody help me

It’s 5oz

It’s whatever u started with as the base line for water. The formula adds volume but it’s equal to the original

It’s a 5oz bottle

What formula is it? Some sccoops are 1oz powder and some 2oz powder. But if you make a 5 oz bottle, add 5 single scoops. It's ok if she doesn't finish. Babies will eat as much as they need. Throw away any leftovers. I never tried doing the math.

I use byheart so it’s 1 scoop per 2oz so I’ll make a 4oz bottle it’ll become almost 5oz but it’s considered 4oz

I use cow and gate first milk, she was ebf for the first 3 months and only ever took around 3-4 ounces, I only asked because I track her feeds on Nara baby and sometimes it confuses me putting the oz amount in
