Steriliser and bottles formula fed babies

Hi, I’ve got a question might be silly but I was wondering we are heading soon on a trip and our baby will be almost 1 year old by then I would like to take formula and bottles with me just in case because we don’t want to introduce cows milk while away, can I use the bottles without sterilising them? I mean I’ll do the hot shot and everything for formula bacteria but is there any danger If bottles are well washed and not sterilised to use? I mean given the fact he is 1 year old . Thanks x

Ive never used sterilisers or any sterilising fluids. Ive always washed them in hot water with washing up liquid and a bottle brush, my LO turns 18 months in 2 days and its always been fine doing that

Never used sterilizer throughout my daughters formula journey. Just hot soapy water and good scrub.

It doesn’t matter how old he is, the risk is the formula itself. Any residue left in the bottle can grow harmful bacteria that would then be in the bottle before you even start You can get self sterilising bottles, that you do in a microwave. Or you could just boil them for 5 mins

I use sterilising bags, you just add water and microwave. If it’s a hotel you can ask them if they can do it? I wouldn’t risk it personally :)

You need to sterilise the bottles because of the bacteria that can grow if there are any small particles of formula left after washing We take a collapsible bucket and Milton

Dr browns make sterilizing microwaveable bags! They aren't big but they do the trick in a pinch.

You don't have to steralise once they're 1. If your baby is almost 1 I'm sure it'll be fine

Don’t need to sterilize them anymore once they are a few months old. Use hot water and soap. He’ll be fine!

I just use a collapsible bucket with Milton tablets abroad and that can sterilise all kinds like toys and dummies as well
