Do you have the app Solid Starts? They have so many different recipes and the ages and how you should serve to them
Have you got some recipe books? I like the Ella’s kitchen and what mummy makes - also need help with inspiration so recipes books are my go to!
If they don’t have a dairy allergy I do pinwheels! Just some pastry with cream cheese and ham or cream cheese and broccoli and roll them up! I don’t give them him often as I know pastry isn’t the best but they’re so good for keeping in the freezer. I make them up, cut them and whack them all in the freezer then whenever I’m stuck they take 15 mins in the oven and it’s always a hit! I just serve it with some fruits or salad veggies! You could do what you want as filling but those 2 are his fave.
Our go-to meals for lunch are quesadillas (I usually shred some roast chicken for extra protein), burrito bowls, egg cups, omelets
@Paige no allergies!:)
@Barbara i do! i havent used it yet though. ill go have a look:)
@Naomi i have the moon & rue one! i loved that for beginning of weaning. ill check out the ellas kitchen one! thank you
@Elle ah pin wheels!!! how could i forget. kai loved them when we first started weaning but i dont think ive gave him any in months. thank you!
Definitely take a look at your recipe books, they give great ideas! Pinwheels always go down well for us, or a spinach and chicken puff pastry tart yesterday was lovely!
So my lg goes to a childminder and she has baked potatoes & beans, pasta, tonight we are having burger & broccoli and baby corn. Some of her favs are chicken, spaghetti meatballs, salmon, and she adores broccoli
Today my baby had a deconstructed ham sandwich. Little strips of lunch meat and bread. With a side of his favorite that’s it bar, a “cookie” and some milk. I had a sandwich with him, and a matcha latte. Later he’s getting some salmon and rice with me for dinner. His version I flake the salmon into the rice like fried rice.
@Megan matcha has a lot of caffeine, do you mean you had it or your baby did too?
@Marina well not directly. But I also still breastfeed. If you’d like to know more here’s a great resource since you seem curious. https://llli.org/breastfeeding-info/caffeine/
@Megan I meant if she “had it with you” because I was a bit surprised. While breastfeeding it’s fine.
Has baby got any allergies?
