Nightmare with daycare

It’s not the first time my 15 month old baby comes home from a daycare with bruises & bumps on his face. I tried to confront the daycare with questions about what happened with his face. The family daycare that owns this place would tell me that I brought him like that. Even tho I have pictures of my son a day before with a clear face both times that it happened. I don’t know what to do. Was someone ever in similar situation?

When my daughter was that old she would always get bruises everywhere from falling. If you are worried take him out of the daycare.

@Elle the thing is that when he is with me at home he does fall but nothing major happens. Like he doesn’t get bruised. But when he goes to the daycare each time he comes back he has bruises and there are two people watching kids.

I worked at a daycare and it’s true that young kids get hurt easily while exploring and interacting with other kids but the workers should know how and when the injuries occur. We would have ouch reports to let parents know. It’s very unprofessional of them to say they already looked like that and not know what’s happened. Makes me think they are not paying attention or supervising correctly.

I would start taking pictures of your baby every morning before drop off so they can’t brush you off and say they came in like that

Take him out of there. There should be incident reports and if he comes like that they should be letting you know that as well.

@Alexis it doesn’t make sense for her to send him back if she feels the need to take pictures of him before he goes. She should just take him out.

@Alexis that’s exactly what’s going on in my mind. They are literally just gaslighting me. They are saying no this was on his face when you brought it him. And both times I took a picture of his face absolutely clear and once he went to a daycare his face is bruised

@Court yeah I am working on that now. I had to miss two working days.

@Elle of course that’s the best course of action but it takes time to find a new daycare and she might not be able to take her baby out of that place immediately if she’s working and has no one else that can watch him.

@Alexis that is exactly my situation. Also, the deposit and I paid for this week as well. I’m sure they are not going to return my money. I’m just very upset but I just don’t want to deal with this nightmare again and again. If it was one time thing and they said hey listen he was playing he fell down and we are sorry. But they are gaslighting me
