Formula feeding + Solids schedule

Hi mamas! Just wondering what are your feeding schedules or routines to offer formula feedings and solid foods. I’ve found myself struggling finding the appropriate window. As he seems to be full enough to not even wanting to touch foods or maybe too hungry so he only eats a few bites.

10 months

My 10 month old boy only has maybe 4/5 bottles of formula now in 24 hr. I only feed him a bottle for bedtime/naps and he eats three good meals and snacks. A lot of beans and soft stuff

Wow, that’s great. How many ounces he has per bottle?

My daughter is 11m so a few weeks older but she was having 3 8oz bottles of formula a day at that point along with 3 meals a day of whatever we ate for meals. She’s now off of bottles and having 3 meals a day, whole milk at meal times and water throughout the day

Mine still has 6oz per bottle. Still eats only a few spoons per meal. I’ve been offering only 2 meals a day 🤔

My son is 10 months, he does 4 8oz bottles. 3 meals a day, I give him his bottle first about an hour later solids. For the most part he eats what we eat, but I do still add in an occasional puree.

Mine does 8oz bottle each bottle, it all depends on baby. Half the time I feed him it's our food, that's all he wants. I give water and juice throughout the day also

@Fabi My son is 10 months this is his feeding schedule. 07:00 ( 8oz bottle ) 09:00( sold breakfast or fruits ) 11:00( 6 1/2oz bottle ) 1300-13:30 (veggies or baby pouch) 15:00 ( 6 1/2oz bottle ) 1700-17:30 ( sold food or baby pouch) 19:00 ( 8oz bottle )

@Imani thanks for laying out your schedule. It really helps! 💕

We do 3 meals and 3 snacks (if hes still hungry) and our bottles include one early in the morning & then for his naps (1-2 naps) and then one for bed! He has about 130ml of milk in a bottle. 7:30am (130ml milk) 9am (solids) 11am (130ml milk) 1pm (solids) 3pm (130ml milk) 5pm (solids) 8pm (130ml milk) (His snacks usually come in anytime hes hungry which is usually between 5pm and 8pm

@Jordan thanks! This really helps! Are you offering the things you eat or you cook different things for him?

@Fabi well my son is 10 months old and has two bottom teeth currently so I will offer him what we eat because he wants it depending on what it is, but for the most part, I will make him his own food (as he eats at different times than we do) which of course is a hassle but we keep the oatmeal or baby cereal on hand because it’s super easy to just mix in case I don’t wanna make anything otherwise I will give him toast with the crust cut off and almond butter is really good for a spread on top and it softens it and then other things I will give him are scrambled eggs, sweet potato and ill cook a huge batch of veggies to soften them then freeze them in ziplock bags as meal portions to just have ready to eat with his meals as it’s easy to just put it in a bowl and zap it in the microwave and its ready lol 😊 we also give about 40 ml of boiled cooled down water with his 3 meals to help digest it!

Sorry just realized how long my reply was lol

@Jordan oh, don’t you worry, it’s perfect ! I appreciate your feedback! 🤗
