Nothing wrong with the lidl one it's full fat.
I asked a friend she said 10% fat means 90% fat of the nutrient is off and what's recommended for baby is full fat. I'm worried about it.
Full fat is just more calories and I guess calcium but it’s not essential to use full fat, I just whatever I have, I certainly wouldn’t waste it just because it was fat free 🤷🏼♀️ Remember food before 1 is just for fun, they’re getting their nutrients from milk anyway so what you’re giving them is just to get them used to textures and flavours. There’s certainly nothing ‘wrong’ with it x
Saying out of a whole there is 10% fat. The fat content is never going to be full fat aka 100%. 10% is higher than anything I’ve ever seen. If it wasn’t full fat it would be 1% or fat free. That is probably as fatty as you’re going to get. I’d look for whole milk that is most fat content.
Thank you guys 😘
Tesco do small pots of full fat Greek yoghurt. This is what we used for my eldest so we didn’t waste as much but pretty much all supermarkets sell the full fat on.
@April the saying food before fun is just for fun is actually rubbish and has been continually criticised by dieticians and nutritionists. Babies need food before 1 to teach their bodies how to process and get the nutrition they need from food before the transition off of formula at 1. Yrs most nutrition should still come from milk but some also needs to come from food in the run up to turning 1
With yoghurt the tricky part now in the past months is avoid the ones coming from bovaer fed cows. Only Lancashire farm is bovaer free from the supermarkets. Even though Yeo Valley say they are also be bovaer free.
I know what you mean - so much Greek yoghurt is “fat free” and i am like no I want the fat! And it can be hard to find. So basically I use those that aren’t labelled as fat free and/or are whole milk Greek yoghurt instead of 0% etc etc. Tesco have an own brand one that is full fat/milk that baby loves
Why couldn’t you use the one you got from lidl?
