Is she already in OT/PT? If not, you should make her an appointment.
Doctor said to wait until The 15 months appointment for that
My pediatrician said by 18 months! My child went from starting to crawl to walking in 2 weeks
The waitlists for PT and other services are really long in my area. If it’s something you think you might be interested in, it’s worth giving a call since it could take months for an assessment (depending on where you are). You can call early intervention services in your state without a referral and everything should be free or very minimal cost. My older daughter had the best experience with services and starting early was the best decision we ever made! Never hurts to have someone take a look, if you’re worried. Your girl will get there soon enough though!
@Vanessa this is a huge misconception and may pt/its will tell you not to wait. And for peds you do not need a referral to get an assessment completed. With the new relaxed standard’s pediatricians are suggesting you wait. Even if you don’t need furth visits after an evaluation they will give you exercise and activity’s to work on at home.
@Madelyn I live in Miami Florida. Do you know where I can see an ITS?
@Vanessa you can literally just google physical therapy in your area. And call and see if they accept your insurance and see kids. Most do and your insurance should cover it as a specialist visit. You may however have a copay.
@Madelyn thank you I will get to it
My baby turned 14 months yesterday and is exactly the same. No walking or even crawling
