Crying in the car seat

I have a 3 week old little girl who cries constantly every single time we are in the car , the strap on the seat aren’t too tight , I’ve tried white noise and putting toys sensory hanging things to distract her and nothing works , is this a stage will it pass or any other suggestions 🤯

Go and see a baby osteopath, sometimes they’re in pain from birth so sitting in that position hurts them they need to be relaxed a bit! If that makes sense 😂

@Amy aw amazing I never thought of that , she’s very advanced and wants to sit up all the time so I wasn’t sure if the seat she’s in she’s just not comfy as she can sit up properly in it and feels trapped 🤦🏽‍♀️ x

There is a page on Instagram called motherhoodroad and she’s brilliant. She recommended an osteopath to me in Edinburgh - Tide Osteopathy (Adam Harker).

Hiya - it’s likely a phase! My first son was like this & I had to put him in the front with me (airbag off) so that he could see me. Eventually he started to chill out & we moved him into the back seat x

It’s hopefully a phase! My little one would scream until his whole face was bright red in the car seat and then at 8 weeks, he gradually became easier to settle. We also offer him a travel dummy to help him soothe and he has finally been able to even sleep during car rides x

My baby did this too it was awful. She’s 12 weeks now, and it’s starting to get better. She’s can be entertained now she can see things better and pay attention more. We find that if we feed her, and burp her well before she goes in the car then wait 20mins it helps her be more comfortable. I think when she was so little she had a build up of gas in the car sometimes and she was also struggling worse with reflux which the car seat position didn’t help! Hope your little one grows out of it too, I still dread car rides!🥲

Thanks everyone for your comments very helpful! Yes my Lw has bad silent reflux and on the journey of sorting CMPA too so she’s not comfortable at the best of times so I wasn’t sure if it was this or anything else I could to do help or if it was a phase it’s reassuring it will end!! X
