My daughter also says less!
My son, who is about to turn four, was a very slow to talk little fellow. I can’t quite remember at that age how many words he had, really not many at all. He didn’t start talking until 2 and, even then, it wasn’t much. I was definitely nervous about it but in the last year or so, especially in the last six months, his vocab has exploded! And he is reading!!! He was focused on other things like learning all the letters, upper case, lower case, and their sounds. He actually learned a lot of vocabulary words because he wanted to spell them! I joke he learned to read before he could talk. It’s kinda true. You just never know with these little ones. They do things in their own time and in their own way. Best thing to do is follow their lead and encourage where you see their interests are.
Thats pretty good! My LO says uh oh, wow, hi, and dada for everything else. We do baby sign though, and she can sign hi, please, thank you, more, milk, water, food, cheese, meat, berry, ball, and a few others. Language explosion usually happens around 18 months.
My daughter says even less than that she says "dada" and she says "Ma", that's all. The pediatrician said at this age a handful of words is good, but if it's a little less, that's okay. She told me that at the 18 month checkup, if my daughter is still not saying more than those words, then we'll look into it.
