Constantly wants to be carried

Does anyone else’s toddler want to be constantly carried when out or when in the house? I don’t see any other toddlers being carried when I’m out and I’m finding it super draining!! Doesn’t seem to want to walk anywhere or be in a buggy or trike just me to carry. No one else just me! Help.

Yes mine too

Same here , will put his hands up & he’s about 15kg as well , getting very heavy to be carried about ..

We still use our Tula Free to Grow carrier to back carry! We never take the buggy so just stick that in the rucksack just in case his legs get tired

Same here!! Always been the same. I carry her round the house, upand down the stairs generally, from apparatus to apparatus in the park, on longish walks, you name it! Uts so refreshing when she wants to walk but its not long before she holds up her arms and says cuddles!!!!

Our oldest (Jan 23 baby) can be like this. Since having our 2nd in Dec 24, I’ve just started saying no and giving her other options. Don’t get me wrong, I will occasionally carry her somewhere but try not to if possible. So if we’re out it’s on the buggy board or in her pram, if we have it. Other option is on daddy’s shoulders, if he’s with us of course. Occasionally I do have to put her in the pram and just let her cry it out, it doesn’t usually take too long for her to get over it. I think it’s just a bit of a test on their part at this age, see what they can get away with x

I don't have a second but I do like Mia. My son is tall and he is getting heavier. I also hold him a lot, but when we're out and about and he wants me to hold him, I'd say my back or arms hurt and it ask him if he wants to walk holding my hand or sit in the pram. He protested a bit the first few times, and I just lowered to his level, hugged him and calmly repeated it to him until he ended up making a choice. It now generally is not an issue (ofc sometimes he won't give up and I comply!). It is so draining when they are mega clingy

I tell my boy that mummies legs don’t worry if I pick him up so we have to stand still. Soon got the hang of it as he wanted to go somewhere and I was like a statue 😂
