Anyone else’s baby started having a meltdown when trying to change them?

Any tips to help?🥲

Distraction helps for me. I’ll sing or clap or fake sneeze or I’ll get my partner to show him a toy and he usually seems to no longer notice I’m changing him lol x

I'll usually give him something to keep his hands full, like a toy or even the pack of wipes (that is always a success)

Now she can stand, it's a bloody joke 🥲 I now try to give her a toy to play with to keep her distracted, but honestly, I've moved onto pulls, because no matter how hard we try, she just ends up standing up and we can't put a nappy on her

Mine just buggers off 🤣🤣🤣

@Lauren I'm glad it's not just mine 🤣 I was having a rough day last week & ended up in tears because I couldn't get her nappy on her 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

@Star we moved to pull ups too soooo much easier 🤣

@Lauren honestly, such a life saver, having said that, first poo in a pull up was not a great experience 🤣 I wish I did some research before I even attempted to take it off

I find giving him the remote control works a treat as he knows he’s not allowed it 😂 … so if I’m desperate he’s having it hahaha xx

I play the happy song anytime my LO is going to cry or fuss. Instantly calms him down

@Francesca i discovered the happy song with my almost 9year old and couldn’t believe it worked so it’s a frequent play when we are in the car now as no2 hates being in the car seat 🙃

honestly the only thing that works as a distraction for me is to give them something that isn’t a toy - wooden spoon, bepanthen tube etc
