I’ve been on the app for months and made few friends but they barely talk or have smaller conversations
You need to be patient. At the beginning it's harder to find a match. Keep waving. If you're new then many people haven't had the chance to wave at you yet. The longer you're on the app, the more waves and matches you get. I found that contacting people without having had a match was fruitless, as nobody ever replied.
Oh this is helpful I thought it was like a match thing if you wave at them and they wave at you then you can talk! But you can just talk ?

@Jas yep, you click on the profile and in the upper right hand it'll have the message sign you click that and you can send message.

It’s only been 2 days. Give it time. It took me 6m to get my first true connection and my first meet. From there I was able to meet someone maybe every 3-4m or so, chatting then adding them to one of my socials and taking the convo off here. Keep trying. When I see a profile that I like I msg FIRST then wave coz if I wave first their profile disappears so I always send a msg first then wave and wait for a reply.
People can only see waves if they pay plus which most people on here don’t , your best bet is sending them a message and skipping the wave part
