My baby did this, he would make himself bleed and pull out his hair 😩 He got diagnosed with severe eczema and once we started treating it, the scratching stopped. Does she have any raised bumps or rashes?

Not that i can see 😭😭 should i take her to her pediatrician or dermatologist?? Does it take long to treat?

If the scratching continues yes I’d ask your pediatrician. His has gotten much better but it’s ongoing, he doesn’t need the creams every day but I keep an eye on it and apply when it starts to flare up

I’m glad he is feeling better.. Did they say it will go away? Sorry im asking lots of questions im just so worried about her!

mine does. he has a dry patch on his head but also seems to do it to self-soothe when he's tired.

we put aquaphor on it daily which helps!

My baby does it when she’s so sleepy and I give her the milk.. I think it’s to self soothe if you don’t think there’s any other concerns

My baby does this in the middle of the night too! I always wondered why 😩 I’ve been religious about putting cream on that spot but she didn’t seem to stop

My little guy does this to self soothe. His little head always has scratches.....looks like he lost a fight with wolverine sometimes 😂 He's completely bald so no eczema that can be seen to be the culprit but our pediatrician says it's completely normal as they learn to use their arms and hands more efficiently they go through a grabby/scratchy phase and since their skin is so delicate they very often have self inflicted scratches.

@Danielle what treatment did you use to treat the eczema?
