Same here! Almost 14 months and if you try to get him standing himself, he’s having none of it. I’m of the opinion he’ll do it when he’s ready, he took a while to perfect his crawling (army crawl to bear crawl to all 4s) so he’s just taking his time with walking too
Same!
My first born was around 15 month when she started walking, so definitely don’t worry 😊
Mine had nearly got it when he was 12 months, but he seems to have lost interest now 😂 he's learnt to climb the stairs instead! My first didn't walk till she was 18 months so I'm trying not to worry x
I wouldn’t worry, she isn’t “late” for walking or anything. My little one just realises that she can get everywhere quicker crawling and that “walking” usually ends up in her falling over!
Just a little voice to hopefully reassure you guys 💛 My son is a June 2023 baby so is 22 months old and only started walking LAST WEEK 😆. He didn’t crawl until 16 months and couldn’t pull himself up at things until 18 months. Began cruising at 18.5/19 months and didn’t stand independently until 2 weeks ago, and it would only be for a split second before wobbling over. He’s now running (well, walking) riot around the flat in his newfound confidence to walk 😂😆 It can take a little bit longer and boys especially are apparently lazier and less naturally independent so, according to physio, tend to be the ‘later bloomers’. Try not to worry yourselves, you’ll get there. I spent months wishing he’d crawl and catch up to his peers and now I find myself wishing he’d keep still 😂 xx
@Courtney it’s so hard to not worry but I totally get this… my little one started walking 6 weeks ago.. at 2 1/2! I wasn’t overly worried but the people around me made me worried.. but I can’t stop him now! :) x
@Jemima oh 100%! We were seeing physio, OT as well as developmental paeds etc (my little boy is delayed across the board, not just physically) so I completely understand how hard it is to not worry & compare. Just wanted to give a bit of hope! I’m so glad your little one is off toddling too! It’s definitely the ‘eyes in the back of your head’ stage 😅😆. Xx
Thanks everyone 🥰 it’s so hard not to compare and to avoid the ‘is she not walking yet?’ Comments from others around me. I know that once she’s off I’ll be wishing she’d stuck to the crawling!!
My LB is not walking or crawling. He's only just started showing an interest in it, and he somehow manages to what he wants most of the time. My LB is not cruising against furniture yet either. I understand how you feel as I'm wondering if I should be concerned x
This is exactly us, nearly 14 months and she's rather crawl everywhere
