My son is the same way. He was always a picky eater, but as time went on, I discovered that my son does not like the look or the taste of meat so one way that I do feed him even though he’s picky is not always give into his cravings. For example, like if you feed him in the morning, do not feed him until he is really hungry and if he is really hungry, but doesn’t like meat, I would advise you tofeed him food that has meat, but do not let him see the meat so that he can eat it
@Sharnee He's 2
Try routines and not giving in Don’t make it a nightmare or a chore but incorporate things he likes with small amounts of praise and positive reinforcement that gives him good practice at doing what he doesn’t like knowing the reward is your love and maybe a treat is a good incentive for him
My son was going through this not very long ago. He was sick for a while too back to back. He completely dropped solids and went on milk our pediatrician was worried about his iron levels so we have to get them checked this coming week. We met 3 different pediatrician before we got a permanent one and everyone had the same thing to say that's it's just a phase he will start eating again on his own. But i feel you mama, we want the best for our kids and it is hard not to worry or feel anxious. My son went without eating solids for almost 3 weeks he is just starting to eat back again but in small quantities. Hugs Xx
I literally force a little taste onto my son’s tongue lol just a pinch. Once he tastes it, he realizes he loves it.
My son is a very picky eater too always has been!
How old is your son? You could try smoothies packed with fruit and veg, savoury muffins with vegetables, hidden veg bolognaise etc. things they might typically eat basically loaded with hidden fruits and vegetables. My first went through a phase of not eating much around 2yo.
