Weaning

My little boy is 6 months old now and I'm really struggling with weaning him. I've tried a variety of things like baby rice, baby porridge both made with his milk. Then purees like banana, mango, sweet potato, broccoli etc. And no matter what he has he has 2 spoonfuls and then closes his lips so I can't get the spoon in for anymore. He has started waking up alot more also during the night for milk he used to wake up once but now it's like 3 times and drinking full bottles so I'm guessing hid more hungry but I'm trying so hard to give him solids but he just won't have it. My little girl is 18 months old and she was so good with weaning but my little boy just won't have it. And with him waking lots atm I don't know if he is more hungry. I'm so stressed out any advice?

maybe just up his milk during the day in hopes he is less hungry through the night. As for the weaning, he’s still only 6months old and taking 2 spoonfuls is good! it’s probably all he needs/wants at the moment. Try not to worry i’m sure in time he will want more !

Since they don’t need solids at this point just try and if they don’t like it or want it then move on. My son loved food. My daughter literally gagged at everything until like 9/10 months. Then she loves food. And since he’s 6 months you can do baby led weaning instead of purées so maybe try that

Maybe try some baby led weaning. Some babies just don’t take to purées The waking may also be something developmental and totally unrelated to weaning

Thanks girls he literally woke up about 4 times last night and its so unlike him. I'm gonna try to up his milk see if that helps xx
