My baby is 3 weeks on Thursday and already having 120ml ( 4ounces) every 3 hours. I was thinking myself I’m not sure if he’s already over the ‘recommended’ amount. But my daughter always was always over too. I think you just have to follow their lead x
hmm, I usually fed my baby every 3-4 hours and just followed their cues, but honestly, every baby is different, so trust your gut! this is what the 'Heal Baby Care App' mentioned… hope it helps! "Feeding schedules can vary based on your baby's age and needs. Generally, for infants under six months, breastfeeding or formula feeding every 2-3 hours is common, with about 2-4 ounces per feeding. As they grow, the amount may increase, and you can start introducing solids around six months, typically offering small amounts once a day and gradually increasing. It's important to pay attention to your baby's hunger cues rather than strictly adhering to a schedule. What age is your baby, and how often are you currently feeding them?
My baby is 17 days old she’s currently on 5 ounces every 4:5 hours and she doesn’t bring anything back up on her night feed at around 3-5am she’ll want an extra ounce or 2 ontop and she drinks it all and sleeps for 4:5 hours after that
I wouldn't worry about overfeeding, it's virtually impossible for baby to overfeed, if it's too much they'll just bring it back up. My boy is 4 weeks old and is having 5oz every 3-4 hrs roughly, but I feed him on demand x
