Feeding

My 3 month old is formula fed (kendamil first infant ) and has 4oz every 3/4 hours. He used to have 5oz but doctor said I was overfeeding.. what’s everyone else’s babies drinking at this stage?

There's a guide on the side of the tin on how much you should feed per day but it's slightly misleading. For example if you're going by what it says for a 3 month old, you're supposed to give 5 x 150ml per day so 750ml total. You feed baby every 3/4 hours so approx 6-8 times a day so each feed should be between 93.75ml to 125ml. Sorry if it sounds like a maths problem! Let me know how much your baby weighs and how many times you feed a day and I can work it out for you.

My 3 month old has 6oz of formula every 3 hours ☺️

My little girl is nearly 4 months old and she’s on 9ozs

My little girl is 3 months and has mainly 5oz bottles 5 times a day however I've been replacing 2 feeds with 6oz bottles. She maybe downs 1 bottle a day but the rest its kind of drip feeding... I'll be honest ive never really known of overfeeding. If they are hungry they will eat and if they aren't they will turn their heads or spit up... x

If you are paced bottle feeding then they dictate what they drink so even if you offer too much they shouldn’t over feed. Least if you offer more and they don’t take it all each time they will be full

My little boy is 3 months and was having 6oz every 4 hours and I was advised to offer 6oz every 3 hours instead, including through the night. At the minute he’s only wanting 5oz of his bottles and every 4 hours ish

My little boy is 6 weeks old and has 4oz every 3 hours and 5oz in a morning as he sleeps through. When my daughter was about your baby’s age she was on about 5-6 oz, I took her to the doctors because she was being sick after every bottle and they said it was because I was over feeding her, when she actually had reflux x

Ot honestly depends on the baby and when they get hungry. The side of the box is a guideline the formula I use even says some babies may vary in the amounts they need. Best example I have is my first daughter was drinking 6-7 Oz bottles when she was 3 months my 2nd daughter was still on 3-4oz at that age. You know your baby best. X

My baby is 19 days old and is having 5oz on some feeds, he was 9lb 4oz born so I don’t know if he’s just a hungry boy 😂 it really does depend on the baby though, I wouldn’t worry about it.

my baby is 5 week and been drinking 5oz, sometimes upto 8oz since he was 2 week, babies will tell ya when they hungry and they’ll just stop or show no interest , don’t worry it about mama💗

My 8 week old has about 4-5 ounce every 3 hours, sometimes he wants more and then takes 6 ounce ! I was told you can never overfeed a baby, whatever they don’t want they will just throw it up ! ❤️

My daughter is 8 weeks old on 7 ounces of hungrier baby formula, you know your son the best so if you think he needs to be on 5 ounces, he's not throwing it up and he's draining bottles then I'd definitely up the ounces

I think it definitely all depends on your baby my baby is 5 months on Thursday and still only taking 5oz

My baby boy 8 weeks has 4oz every 2hrs now so I wouldnt say you are over feeding what so ever! Just feed when baby is hungry x

My lb is going to be 4 months soon and he’s been on 7oz since he was 6weeks I was told I’m overfeeding but I’m just giving my baby what he clearly needs as he was born on the bigger side aswell so he can chug a lot 😂 will be giving him 8oz soon as it seems 7oz is no longer enough
