Hard boiled eggs, cooked broccoli is good. Corn on the cob to knaw on. Cooked apples, shredded chicken, I can give more ideas. If needed
@Emilie these are great ideas! I’d be happy to have more 😊
We started with the puffs and freeze dried yogurt melts then slowly introduced more textures. The first solid textures we introduced was orzo pasta mixed with a steamed cooked sweet potato, breastmilk, and cheese it was a hit! She really prefers textures over purees now. Some of her favorites are scrambled eggs, peas, corn and mashed potatoes (mixed) , pancakes, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, steamed zucchini, steamed broccoli and cauliflower, peanut butter fritters and baked apples.
My baby loves dry cheerios, sometimes i mix it with yogurt instead of giving a side of fruit. Dry Kelloggs, Strips of peanut butter toast can also be good to start with or avo on toast, scrambled eggs, cheese sticks (colby jack we use and it’s pretty soft), strawberries whole, blueberries (extra soft or squish it between your fingers), croissants, coconut spinach banana pancakes (made in small sizes) or any pancakes really, my girl loves any and everything though 😂 mango is another good one, melted cheese sandwiches or tuna melts cut into squares or big enough pieces for them to hold. i don’t use the app solid starts as i like to just go off what i feel lol but i heard it’s a really good app for moms who’s not sure what foods to cut how when presenting to baby.
This is good ladies because I’ve been trying to figure it out as well but I believe I’m doing ok with trying different texture foods with my baby girl. She’s nine months old and none of her teeth has cut through yet, but she chew and uses back and forth and up and down movements with her tongue. I give her pancakes, waffles, potatoes, sweet potatoes are her favorite!!!😃 etc… I have only tried chicken once, I boiled it and blended it a little 🤦♀️
I’m grateful my little girl love veggies…. Maybe because that’s what I craved and ate all while pregnant with her
I stay away from items that contain honey
The solid starts app has good recommendations for solids. We're purees and solid because little man gets tired of holding and chewing, but is still clearly hungry
We still struggle but I started with the teether wafers and yogurt melts to get the idea of self feeding and to help her get the pincher grasp down. Once we figured that out I've started giving eggs and noodles and small soft things
