Food 😵‍💫

Anybody else have a 17 month old who has never been great with food.. but omg, meal times are so unsuccessful everytime! He survives on bananas, eggs, toast, yoghurt and berries! It’s such a battle. So jealous of people who have kids that have just taken to food!

I could have written this about my almost 18 month old. No help im afraid but you’re not alone x

I struggle with mine too. I discovered a while ago that I need to distract him with something for him to eat. For example, if he sees something on the counter that he’s interested in, he’ll fuss and shake his head no, but as soon as he gets the object, he usually at least tries the food. And once he tries the food, he usually likes it and I consider it a success if he goes through half of the food, which he usually does. Sometimes he eats everything I prepare for him, if he’s in a good mood, hungry, and I am persistent about offering the food 😀

@Jade it’s so tough! I feel like I’m failing him but some kids are just fussy I guess 😩 I have a friend whose girl is the same age & eats anything. Makes me so envious & wonder what I did different for him to be this way!

I can totally relate- i have had a few tears tonight as the thought of him going to bed hungry makes me feel so guilty x

Yes yes yes , this 👏👏 my girl goes through phases loves yogurt , chicken , olives , watermelon & ham. Dinner time mostly all the food ends up on the floor & she just asks for yogurt

My son loves food HOWEVER he is a pain in the arse with the fusiness of it 😑 One day something is his favourite.... an hour later you'd think it was shit covered bread honestly do not be envious of wasting money on food they ate just a second ago and wont eat again until its thrown in the bin
