Hey, I exclusively express and feed my LG breast milk but did introduce 1 formula bottle a day to start the transition over and see how she dealt with it. She refused it for around 4 days but then gave in. I would say consistency is key.
Try mixing some breast milk with formula, then over a few days reduce the amount of breast milk. This is what I did with my first baby.
Try to make a bottle with 75% breast milk and 25% formula then slowly reduce the amount of breastmilk you use. Breastmilk is sweeter so your baby probably just needs to adjust to the taste.
I had to do this too, started off mostly breast milk and an ounce of formula in the bottle and gradually baby steps changed the ratio and she'll now drink a bottle of just formula with no breast milk before bed and is breast fed the rest of the time
I swear by my prep machine for making up formula, some say lazy I say efficient 😅 you can get one second hand for next to nothing I think I paid £5 for mine and just bought a new filter and it was still cheaper than buying one brand new x
Hot shot method with rapid cools or prep machine with cool boiled water to fill!
I’m in the same boat! I have no clue what to do with formula but have exclusively breast fed and bottle but want to move away. Following post for the advice 🩷
