I wouldn't worry! I spent so much time stressing about overfeeding, but my girl was just a hungry baby when she was born. She was on the 54th percentile at birth and made her way to the 83rd percentile at about 12 weeks old. At 14 weeks, she was taking 5-6oz per bottle and is still having the same now at 19 weeks. No concerns from health visitors when I've had her weighed, they just said that at around 6-8 weeks old, babies tend to find a percentile line and roughly stay on it
I wouldn’t worry, I’ve spent so much time worrying about this when my lo was that age and my mum always said if he don’t want it he won’t I never believe her until it actually happened one day - very rarely thou as my baby loved/still loves his milk and food now. I have read few things saying you can’t actually ‘over feed’ your baby but everyone has their own opinion x
It’s quite difficult to ‘over feed’ a baby if a baby isn’t hungry they won’t eat and if they are they’ll make it known! drs and hv have quite the habit of telling people their baby is being overfed! If baby is draining the 4oz bottles and still fussy afterwards I’d offer 5oz but stop at 4oz to see where little one is at! If content they’re full after 4oz if still fussing/crying offer the extra ounce! Ideally you want to have a little left over in the bottle after a feed, that’s the indication that they’ve had enough, if they drain the bottle they’re most likely still a little hungry but stopped because there’s no more! Please don’t feel like you’re doing anything wrong or overfeeding your little one! Sounds like you’re doing amazing and your concerns/confusion from the drs is completely valid, I don’t know why they would say that! The recommendation/guidance for a little one that age is 4-6oz anyway x
