I’m pretty sure if the car seat is rear facing the air bags are meant to be off and if the car seat is forward facing the air bags are meant to remain on. I’m not 100% sure as I keep my daughter in the back because she would distract the hell out of me if she was up the front 😂 In the UK I’ve seen moms who have there baby up front with them
You are allowed your baby in the front seat rear facing and airbag off.
Technically turning the airbag off is not safe, they can still go off. The only safe way to do it is to fully remove the airbags. Then it wouldn’t be safe for anyone else to sit there though. Back seat is always best.
While it’s better to have the car seat in the back, it’s not wrong to have it in the front.
@Jelena did you read my comment properly? A turned off airbag can still go off, so it should always be removed if a child is put rear facing in the front seat. Therefore no one else can sit there unless you put in a new airbag. So it’s better, and safer, to put the child seat in the back.
The baby can be in the front seat if the type of car seat allows for it to be there. You can actually check with the company of the car seat if it can be put in the front seat of your specific car
