@Amanda exactly it honestly makes me feel like I won’t be able to do or enjoy motherhood because I’m struggling so bad rn I feel like I’m at my breaking point.
I get the frustration, but the gist of those comments is to get you to relax and enjoy the season you're in with the child. The days are LONG, but the years are SHORT. Before you know it, your kids will get older and you'll long for the days you are currently complaining about.
I understand completely, I’ve been there. For me, the nonexistent sleep during the newborn stage was the hardest, but everyone is different.
"You know, people said that about the toddler phase too, and so far it's been a dream. She listens well and rarely melts down. Maybe I'm just that good at parenting? Idk." 🤷
It’s just unnecessary, maybe I’ll enjoy xyz more than what’s bothering me now? Maybe I’ll be in a better place mentally? “Just wait” sucks, because even if it’s followed by something positive, it can be discouraging when someone’s implying you have to wait to feel the thing that’s positive.
