Lonely and Isolated Amongst People.

I've lived in my current city for the past four and a half years. I'm active within my church, gotten to know a good amount of people, and have grown in ways I wouldn't have if I stayed in my home-state. However, after having one child and due to have another, I am feeling very lonely and isolated. Yes, there are other mothers, but the small groups I'm in, their children are all older than my own. Not only that, I have come to believe that the only reason no one talks to me on a consistent basis is because I am not of Caucasian descent. I could be too in my head, but I see it in peoples' interactions amongst one another. I don't receive the same treatment they do because I don't operate in surface-level conversations and give half-hearted promises or invitations. I just want genuine friendship connection(s) with women that will make time for me in a way that is manageable for the both of us and is wanting to get to know me for me.

I could have written this myself. On the same exact boat.

Feel free to message if you ever want to chat! 🥰

I’m feeling the same. I’m one of the last to have kids in my circle and, among those still local, we are not very close. Could use a friend to talk about real things (and silly things) with. Message me!
