My BD left me for someone else when I was 6months pregnant , I now have a nearly 2 year old and he's never really provided for her and only sees her when it suits him . He claims he doesn't work when I know he gets cash in hand!! I have asked for child maintenance etc but he claims he's 'skint'- never mind the holidays etc he has . Anyway he saw her yesterday and I have mentioned she needs a new pushchair as my one I was given is broken (she's the 4th child using it) and other things like clothes , new shoes , He said he has no money again as he's not working (he's lying). I don't know what to do as I am working part time but struggling to make ends meet . Any advice please.

@Nez thank-you, I cant actually believe his attitude and he is willing to let his daughter to go without the basics x
So everything the above comment says, but also know there’s support out there for when you are struggling, there’s plenty of groups you can join where you’ll be able to find things for your little girl for free or at a really good price, I know none of us bring kids in the world to end up in a situation like this but you know your doing the best for your little girl, if it means you reach for the help out there your can give more to your little one x

If he’s on the birth certificate file for child maintenance support. If he’s working and not declaring his income report him to HMRC. If he’s on benefits and working getting cash in hand report him to the benefits fraud team. Also, mention to his family what a low life scum bag he is that isn’t paying for his child and don’t hesitate one little bit ! He’s a dick head
