Worried about development

I’m not sure if i’m being an anxious FTM or if there is actually a problem. She’s 10mo. Not babbling Not waving, clapping or pointing Not pulling to stand (trying) Not holding onto furniture Not crawling Very fussy and clingy Whinges all day Won’t play with toys for longer than 30 seconds Seems to like looking at certain toys Does it seem like there is an issue here? I know all babies are different and do things in their own time but i’m just worried!

Have you had your 9-12 month meeting yet? Speak to your HV if you're concerned and they'll be able to help you

@Jenny its next week

My LO babbles and waves but can't do any of the other things you mentioned. She will have another review in 3 months but that was mainly for fine motor skills. They didn't seem bothered about the crawling / pulling to stand etc. I think we're still a bit early for that stuff to be a concern

Heyyyy, so my baby is also 10 and half months and I had similar concerns a few weeks ago. Within the space of 2 weeks she started to crawl and babble and she claps What I’m trying to say is don’t overthink it , they literally do it in their own time I know how it feels because I was so anxious also but your LO will get there! Totally relate to the winging all day though xx

@Sindi ah wow thats amazing!! I’m honestly so stressed. She doesn’t seem interested in doing anything and i’ve tried everything to help her. She’s so grumpy so its very difficult to get her to interact or want to practice anything 😔

I know how you feel Mine is also grumpy most days but less so now she can move around more, honestly all I did was plenty of floor time and eventually she started to move and is maybe a bit happier she can move lol but I totally get it maybe teething makes them more unhappy I think xx

It’s hard to advise without knowing your situation. If you regularly talk to your baby, engage in different play time activities, do ‘exercise’ like bicycle with their legs and take them for outdoor activities, they will eventually do all those things even if they’re a bit behind what’s stated in the guidelines. It’s true that most babies can do all the things that you mentioned by now and it’s good you’re aware, but your baby might start doing them in coming days. It’s also good your 10 month check up is coming up, so you’ll get advice from a professional. Good luck with everything. Things should fall into place soon.
