Cows milk help

How did your LO cope with the transition to cows milk? My daughter was being offered 3 8oz bottles of formula a day, she would generally leave an ounce from her morning and evening bottle and 2oz from her midday one. Now she’s one this week we’ve made the straight swap to cows milk. This morning I offered 5oz in a Tommee tippee weighted straw cup (she uses this well for her water) but she completely refused. We tipped it back into her Mam teat bottle and she drank the lot no problem and then cried as if she wanted more. My thought process was that she would have 5oz in a morning and 5oz at night before bed. Should I also offer a few ounces in the middle of the day as she was used to having three bottles before? If so how much? I’m not so worried about her dairy intake as she eats cheese and yogurt everyday. Also, as she refused the Tommee tippee cup do I continue offering in that and pouring it into her normal milk bottle if she doesn’t take it or is it likely that she’s just not ready to drink from her cup and needs to stick with bottles for longer?

I would stick to the same amount of oz and the same bottle for now, the cows milk is already a change so if you make too many changes at once it can be a bit much for them. Try water in the Tommee Tippee cup and see if she can drink from it, our little girl won’t drink from anything with a straw🤣. Slowly change to less oz then try the cup again 🫶🏻x

@Amie she’s taken her water from the Tommee Tippee straw cup since around 7 months so I just presumed she would do well with it for her milk too but she was having none of it. Yeah tomorrow we’ll be back to 8oz morning and night and I think that will be plenty for her alongside her snacks too xx

@Beth oh bless her, funny things children 🤣 good luck!xx

Prepare for constipation! My little one has been suffering with it 😭 been awful and sleepless nights!xx
