Feeding and going abroad

Taking my LO away next month she will be 11 months and I'm stressing a bit about the food. Not so much breakfast as she can have eggs, fruit, yoghurt, porridge etc. But what do you guys do for the lunch and dinner. Do you recommend taking pouches (she doesn't normally eat pouches) but I'm thinking to take some as I'm worried about the oil, salt the hotel might cook in. Am I just overthinking or should it be ok ?

Every time we’ve got away I’ve taken pouches and then given her bits and pieces off my plate, but we’re going away again on Thursday and she has started rejecting pouches. I plan on just giving her bits of whatever me and my husband have and ordering mindfully to make sure there’ll at least be a few things on our plates that are appropriate for her. The salt etc isn’t ideal but in my view it won’t do any harm as it’s not like you’re giving it to her all the time! Try not to overthink it too much, she will just fit into whatever you’re doing xx

Ok that makes sense. Thank you x

I’m the same!!! Our babies are same age and I feel exactly the same as you!

Could always go to the shops and buy a few bits for lunch? Least then you know your little one has had two decent meals. Then the plan off stuff of your plate for dinner would work alongside that. X

I’ve never fed my baby pouches / packaged meals however we’ve just come back from Lanzarote and I bought packaged meals for teas on holiday. So glad I did, I would have been stressing so much and atleast I know he’s eating decent food. You can get quite good ones now I found if you go to big stores like Tesco extra, they were organic too! Enjoy your holiday and take out the stress of food, I’m always stressing when I’m at home to make sure he’s getting the best food so abroad would be too much! X
