How long did you do ab workouts?

I had three babies and did ab work the whole way, but the kind of work i did changed as I progressed with my pregnancy.

@Jessica what kinds of exercises did you do when you got bigger? I have yet to feel uncomfortable but for near future references lol

@Jessica can you send some examples of abs that you were able to do each trimester?

I did more planking variations during my pregnancies until it wasn't comfortable. I then went to more breath work, drawing baby in close (like the videos you've probably seen of the guy "pulling plug in a balloon and all the air goes out as her tummy gets smaller) diaphragmatic breathing. Bird dogs, modified planks as you get bigger, like elevating your top half. Dead bugs and pallof press would be good! You want to avoid coning of your abdominal cavity. Twisting movements are harder and I'd stay away after the 3rd trimester.

Some are not safe during pregnancy so id avoid those. And avoid things that could make diastasis recti worse

@Gabrielle def don’t need that I had an issue I could correct myself but afraid it’ll happen worse this time trying to stay fit

I stopped things like crunches after 1st trimester but continued to do things like planks through 3rd trimester. So like others have said, continued workouts but modified as I progressed.
