@Corine mine was reading 4 days ahead. but they still insisted my due date by my late period.
My first one, bc he was measuring smaller in beginning they told me between march 3rd and March 9th. Wouldn't give me an exact date. And then at 28 weeks I started having active contractions which they stopped but they said baby will prob come in a week or two that they just wanted me to at least get to 32 weeks for baby to have more of a fighting chance... Baby boy came at 41 weeks. 🫠
I understand that but I didn't have this issue with her when I had my daughter in 2018. She said I was due Aug 1st but ended up having her just 8 days earlier on July 24th.
@Brianna oh wow! I didn't have this issue with my daughter. They gave me 1 due date and she came 8 days earlier. Not too bad.
Switching twice seems like a lot. But I had two different due dates with my first. The initial due date was based on LMP. Then at the first ultrasound, they adjusted the due date because size was more than 1 week off. He ended up being born on the original due date.
@Annelise right and that's usually how they do it but I haven't had a period in 7 years. So I'm confused as it is.
I would expect it's a measurement thing, but my babies measure a week or two bigger and my dates never change. I also have my date of conception and that's only three days off for my LMP.
If you haven't had a period in 7 years they are likely only going based on size. However, after week 8 or 9 babies stop being reliable for due date calculations because they begin to grow based on genetics. I had my due date with my son pushed forward a week when I switched OBs. I got induced at what I thought was 40w1d but he was not ready at all. I think I actually he was really 39w1d. Horrible birth and outcome because he wasn't ready.
Probably changing due dates based on the size of baby, my baby was reading earlier by 3 days, it’s how they keep track of everything
