Yes!!! My little girl grunts and squeaks, ALL the time. Hospital and our pediatrician said it’s completely normal. It scares me too, because she’s a loud sleeper

@Courtney does she grunt when you feed her it scares me

@Cara can you upload a video of it during feeding? Maybe show a video to your pediatrician. Some babies are just loud breathers and eaters and make random noises, but My first baby would squeak every single time she would take a breath while feeding and he was diagnosed with laryngomalacia. This rarely requires intervention and usually resolves on its own before age one, but it was so frightening for me and very traumatic because i constantly felt like he couldn’t breathe.

Totally normal. My little guy is very obvious when he's pooping because he's so noisy. Sometimes downright fussy, but their little bodies are just still adjusting. At our 2-week checkup today the pediatrician was talking about how babies are "obligated nose breathers" for when they're feeding and don't really breathe through their mouths a lot, so you hear every little weird sound and it's normal for most to have some amount of congestion as they're acclimating to their environment. If it's happening with every inhale or something I'd mention it to the doc, but the random squeaks and grunts are probably just normal baby noise. Look up "stridor breathing" for when to be concerned. Here's an article that gives an overview. I remember watching videos when I had my first and was worried about if she was breathing weird. The anxiety about it is normal too. 🙃 https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/stridor-versus-wheezing
