My daughter was born 26th January 2024 She’s not walking I’m kinda worried
My girl was born 13th Jan and she’s exactly the same. Can do it all but the actual walking without holding on. I’ve been told not to be concerned until 18 months x
Same here - my daughter cruises and walks holding onto my fingers or on her push-buggy. She’s not quite standing independently although there have been some attempts. Just got to be patient I guess!
Heyy, my son was born also in January 2024 he started to walk not long ago. He might not be confident to walk independently. Is hard when you see other kids around the same age as your soon walking independently but every child is different. The average is btw 15 months to 18 months to start walking even tho some are walking before 12 months. Don’t worry he will starting walking soon just try to holding his hand and walk around him everyday even if is 5 minutes you will see the differences.
Every baby is different. But HV said to not worry till your baby is 18 months. So plenty time yet. X
I really wouldn’t worry. My little man (22nd) point blank refuses to even walk with holding someone’s hands. He’s just got no interest in it. He can also walk around the furniture etc but just hasn’t got a care to try and venture away. Every child is different so please don’t compare. ❤️
My LB is the end of Jan and has only just really started walking the past few days, he’ll walk in the house but nowhere else so think it’s a confidence thing. I wouldn’t worry everyone is different❤️
As if by magic, at 15 months to the day…my second born started walking! A friends little one is nearly 2 months older and isn’t walking unaided yet! So hard not to compare but sounds like your little one is doing great! 💖
The milestone is 18 months so if they're not walking by 19 months that's considered late, anything before 18 months is considered early. Every child is different and does things at their own pace!
Try not to worry. Little boy born 3rd Jan 2024 still not walking and not even that bothered about trying. Has been slow to do everything gross motor - didn’t crawl til 10.5 months and didn’t pull to stand til a year. He’s very happy zooming around on all fours. He’s been even slower on communication so we’ve been more worried about that but he randomly started clapping yesterday after months of ignoring our attempts to encourage him. They’ll get there in their own time I reckon x
January 11th 2024 for me and it’s literally exactly as you described! I’m so glad it’s not just me😅 Thanks for this post and all the comments
Not to worry, my daughter was born 2nd of January last year and only started walking when she turned 15 months. Before that day she wouldn’t even stand on her own, all she did was cruise and crawl and one day she stood by herself a week later she walked later and then didn’t for a while and is just starting again. They just need a little confidence and reassurance
My son didn't walk till he was 36 months old but he was a 30 weeker prem. My nephew who was full term walked at 26 months so your son showing signs his about to walk snd when they do it's suddenly when my son walked one minute he was crawling I turned the corner and he was walking it happened that fast
My boy was born on 11/01/24 and has only just started to be more confident with his walking but still crawls some of the time. I really wouldn’t worry xx

My boy born 29/1/24 still not walking. Won’t even walk holding hands! But will cruise along the sofa. I’m not worried
My son has only just started walking and honestly it felt like he never would. I tried practicing with him but he wasn’t interested and just wanted to crawl everywhere. One afternoon, my partner and I were sat on the sofa and our son just walks across the room. We both couldn’t believe it 😂 now he hasn’t stopped walking. I really wouldn’t be too worried x
My first didn’t walk until 17 months, she was just so unmotivated. I had to motivate her by putting 2 chairs side by side and putting a toy to get her to try to walk from one to the other and slowly moving the chairs apart. Give your babe some more time, but find ways for him to get practice multiple times per day
My little boy is 8th Jan - he bum shuffles, doesnt pull to stand, crawl, cruise, walk etc. He only the last couple of weeks has figured out how to move forward in the walker.. i worry and compare but im reality he is just fine and is doing it all at his own pace! His fine motor skills are brilliant and he babbles so much so i guess the gross motor skills are just going to take more time🤍
Same as you! 11/01/24. Will walk so well holding hands, not so confident 1 handed. Also cruising climbing stairs etc and pushes walker all day long. Think a lot of it with her is a confidence thing but we also think she is hyper mobile which can cause a delay so waiting to have appt with health visitor. All her friends can walk and she gets frustrated that she can’t 😞 but I do know it’s not uncommon for them to not walk till 18M +
