Grunting??

Anyone else’s baby grunting in their sleep?? What does it mean and why do they do it??

Yep my boy does it a lot it's so annoying 🙄 There's a lot of info on it if you search of Google. Think it's something to do with developing the respiratory and digestive systems.

@Louise I always think he’s in pain or finding it heard to breathe!! So annoying xxx

Yeah, my LO does it when she’s trying to push a poo or pass wind, she also does it when she’s trying to get comfortable/ changing position 😅, but yes like louise said lots about it on google x

Yeah it's meant to be normal. I've questioned it a lot as my boy seems like he pushing a poo out but isn't. Glad to hear others are similar x

Same, I always have to get up to check he's okay.

It’s called active sleep and is something that the majority of newborns do. It makes sleeping next to them very hard 🤣 both of my babies have been reaaaally loud newborn sleepers 🥲

Yep, always in the early hours too. I found that it’s because he’s hungry & also I read it’s them helping strengthen their digestive system whilst it’s developing.
